In addition, the requirements are stringent and include having seven
(7) years of experience in the field of Hazardous Materials Management
/ Engineering and the required level of college education, experience
and competency, including passing a rigorous national examination.
The exam tests and validates the CHMM’s proficiency in all aspects
of our profession, including knowledge of Federal laws, as well as
business and field practices and ethics.
HAZWOPER, All strong employees initially receive 40 hour training
in Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HazWOPER) per
29CFR Part 1910.120 (a)-(q) with 8 refresher courses taken annually.
Strong employees go through annual HazMat/DOT (HMR) training.
